Use WebP for most web photographs and marketing graphics when you need small files. JPG is broadly compatible for photos. PNG is useful when transparency or crisp flat artwork is essential, but it is often larger.
Do not publish a 4000-pixel photograph in a card displayed at a few hundred pixels. Export near the largest size users will see, with a higher-resolution version only when the layout needs it.
Compression is a balance. Check faces, text, gradients and sharp edges after export. If artifacts appear, raise quality slightly or use a format that better suits the artwork.
